Heat and Cold Stress Survey

Heat and Cold Stress Surveys are conducted to evaluate thermal comfort parameters at your workplace against statutory requirements, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Maintenance of thermal comfort is important to ensure a safe, healthy and productive workplace. When the temperature becomes too hot or too cold, employees start to experience discomfort of a subjective nature, but eventually may experience physical problems that impair health and productivity.

Every employer should have a Heat and/or Cold Stress Survey conducted at their premises as required in terms of Sections 2(1) and 2(4) of the Environmental Regulations for Workplaces, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Sections 5, 9 and 12 of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
