Asbestos Survey

Asbestos Surveys include the assessment of potential exposure and inventory of the location of asbestos at your workplaces, buildings, plants or premises. Furthermore, we offer an evaluation of employee exposure to asbestos against statutory requirements, and to recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Where maintenance, or the complete removal or demolishing of asbestos-containing materials is advisable, we not only offer clients supervision and air monitoring services, but also:

  • Drafting and approval of the Asbestos Plan of Work
  • Notification of the Department of Labour
  • Background asbestos sampling before asbestos work commences
  • Leak (enclosure check) and perimeter sampling during asbestos work
  • Assessment of the suitability of respiratory protection during asbestos work
  • Final inspection, clearance indicator sampling and issuing of Final Clearance Certificate after asbestos work is completed

Every employer should have an Asbestos Survey conducted at their premises as required in terms of Sections 7, 8, 14, 15 and 21 of the Asbestos Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Act.
